Jaroslav Slavický/1948/. Po studiích na tanečním oddělení Konzervatoře v Praze /63-67/, obdržel státní stipendium pro studium na  Institutu Vaganovové v Leningradu - ped. Puškin, Bregvadze. V roce 68-69 člen baletu Národního divadla v Praze, 69-70 premiére danseuer Theatre Municipal Strasbourg /Jean Garcia/, 70-72 sólista Stadttheater Basel /Pavel Šmok/. Od roku 72 sólista baletu Národního divadla v Praze, od 75 1. sólista, 1990-96 baletní mistr a pedagog ND. Na scéně Národního divadla vytvořil kolem 80 rolí a sólových úkolů /Princ-Labutí jezero, Albert-Giselle, Romeo, Mercutio, Princ-Spící krasavice, Crassus/ Spartakus/, Adam /Stvoření světa/, mnoho rolí současného repertoiru atd. Od roku 72 vyučoval na Taneční konzervatoři v Praze /klasický tanec, repertoire klasického tance/, v roce 87 ukončil studia na Akademii múzických umění v Praze - obor taneční pedagogika a získal titul Magister.

S baletním souborem ND i samostatně hostoval v mnoha zemích Evropy - Itálie, Francie, Německo, Belgie, Holandsko, Finsko, Bulharsko,Rusko,na Kubě,v Canadě. V letech 87- 96 vyučoval na Akademii múzických umění v Praze, od 89 pedagog a baletní mistr Národního divadla v Praze /Labutí jezero, Spící krasavice, Don Quijjote, Balanchine, Kylián/, od 96 ředitel Taneční konzervatoře hlavního města Prahy. Pedagogicky působil v Canadě /Labrador end Noufaundland Ballett Institut/, Francii /Grand Theatre Bordeaux-Bortoluzzi/, Opera Norimberk, Edinbourg, USA /Blomington/, Palucca Schule Dresden, Academie des Tanzes Mannheim, Ballett Centrum Fürth / Norimberk, Theatre Municipal Rio de Janeiro aj.

V letech 91,94,97, vykonával předsedu poroty Národní baletní soutěže v Brně, v roce 98 byl členem mezinárodní poroty ve Varně, 2000- 2006 členem mezinárodní poroty Prix Carpeaux ve Francii, 2003 a 2006 ředitel 1. mezinárodní baletní soutěže v Brně, 2004 Mezinárodní baletní soutěž Grasse. V letech 2004 - 2008 vykonával předsedu Rady Tanečního sdružení ČR, 2007 ředitel 1. Mezinárodní choreografické soutěže Plzeň 2007, 2007-8 člen poroty ve Štětíně, Mezinárodní baletní soutěže R. Nurejeva v Budapešti, 2009 Tanzolymp v Berlíně a Celopolské soutěže v Gdaňsku.

Pro Taneční konzervatoř vytvořil představení baletu Louskáček /1993, ve spolupráci s Kongresovým centrem Praha/, Louskáčka uvedl také v divadlech v Liberci /98/, Ústí nad Labem /2000/ a novou verzi v Národním divadle v Ostravě /2001/. V Národním divadle v Brně inscenoval Dona Quichota /96/, v Městském divadle v Rio de Janeiro Spící krasavici /98/, pro Taneční konzervatoř nastudoval  Polovecké tance /98/ - převzato do repertoiru Národního divadla v Praze. V roce 2003 inscenoval La Bayadère v Národním divadle v Brně / uvedeno v české premiéře/, Spící krasavici 2005 opět v Městském divadle v Rio de Janeiro a pro Taneční konzervatoř Hl. m. Prahy /uváděno ve spolupráci s ND/, v roce 2008 vytvořil Raymondu v ND v Brně. V roce 2012 inscenoval Dona Quijota ve Státní opeře v Praze a v Národní opeře v Bukurešti.

Mezi jeho žáky patří např. Jiří a Otto Bubeníčkovi /1.sólisté baletu Johna Neumeiera v Hamburku a Semper Oper Dresden/, Václav Kuneš - NDT 1 /Jiří Kylián/, Daria Klimentová /primabalerina English National ballet/, Michal Matys  /1. sólista Oper am Rein Düsseldorf/, Jiří Jelínek /1. sólista baletu ve Stuttgartu/,  Lukáš Slavický /1. sólista Bavorského státního baletu v Mnichově, Prix Benois de la Danse/.


Jaroslav Slavický ( b. 1948 ) having finished his studies at the dance section of the Conservatory in Prague, he was conferred the national scholarship for the studies at the Vaganova´s Istitute in Lenigrad ( pedagogues Pushkin, Bregvadze ).

1968 – 1969: a member of Ballet Ensemble of the National Theatre in Prague

1969 – 1970: premiére danseur of the Theatre Municipal Strassbourg ( Jean Garcia )

1970 – 1972: a soloist of the Stadttheater Basel ( Pavel Šmok )

Since 1972: a soloist of the National Theatre Ballet in Prague, since 1975 – the Principal dancer.

He created about 80 roles and solo impositions on the stage of the National Theatre           ( Prince – Swan Lake ; Albert – Giselle; Romeo, Mercutio, Prince – Sleeping Beauty; a lot of roles from the contemporary repertoire etc.

He has tought classical dance and repertoire of classical dance at the Dance Conservatory Prague since 1972. In 1987 he finished his studies at the Academy of Music Arts the branch of dance pedagogy – and obtained a title Magister ( B.A.).

He appeared on tours both with the National Theatre Ballet Ensemble and by himself in many European countries,  in Cuba and Canada.

In 1987 - 1996 he thought at the Academy of Music Arts in Prague, since 1989 he acted as a pedagogue and master of ballet in the National Theatre in Prague.

Since 1996 he has been a director of the Dance Conservatory Prague.

His pedagogical places of work include: Canada ( Labrador and Newfounland Ballet Institut)  France (Grand Theatre Bordeaux – Bortoluzzi),Opera Nurnberg, Edinburgh, USA ( Blomington ), Palucca Schule Dresden, Theatre Municipal Rio de Janeiro, Ballet Academie Mannheim, Ballet Academie Nurenberg/Furt ect.

As a jury chairman of the National Ballet Contest in the C.R. he acted in 1991, 1993, 1995, 1997, 1999.He was also a member of international juries : 1998 – Varna; 2000 - 2007 Prix Carpeaux in France, Rudolf Nureev Budapešť 2008, Poland National Contest Gdansk 2009, International Ballet Contest Goldene Pointes Stetin 2007 - 10 /Poland/.  . For the Dance Conservatory Prague, he has created the performance of the ballet “ Nutcracker “ ( 82 performances ); “ Nutcracker “ was presented also at the theatres of other cities ( Liberec, Ústí nad Labem and at the National Theatre Ostrava – a new version – 2001.He staged „Don Quijote“ at the National Theatre Brno ( 1996 )  “ Sleeping Beauty “ at the Municipal Theatre Rio de Janeiro ( 1998 ), for the Dance Conservatory  „Polovtsian Dances “  ( assumed into the repertoire of the National Theatre Prague ) . In April 2003 he will stage “ La Bayadere “ at the National Theatre Brno, in 2004 „Don Quijote“ at the Bädischesstaatstheter Karlsruhe, in 2005 „Sleeping Beauty“ at the Municipal Theatre Rio de Janeiro end at Theatre National Prague olso, in 2008 „Raymonda“ at the National Theatre Brno.

Among his pupils belong e.g. Jiří Bubeníček and Otto Bubeníček ( the Principal dancers of John Neumeier´s Ballet in Hamburg end Semper Oper Dresden ), Václav Kuneš NDT 1 ( Jiří Kilián ), Jiří Jelínek ( Principal dancer of Stuttgard Ballet ), Lukáš Slavický ( the Principal dancer of the Bavarian State Ballet in Munich a Laureate  Prix Benois de la Danse 2003).
